The Neeme Järvi Prize 2024 is given to young conductors and consists of invitation to Switzerland's major symphony orchestras. For Musikkollegium Winterthur, Gabiz got the chance to judge in the final concert and give his votes for potential invitees in Winterthur!
Gabiz got to work in the jury corps for the Musikkollegium Winterthur at the Concours Géza Anda 2024, to select the winner of the new prize "WILD CARD", a recital prize for someone that didn't make it through to the semi-finals. This new prize – co-created by Gabiz – is thought to shed some light on the arbitrary nature of competitions and the difficulty of objectivity in judging art.
Season 23/24: Gabiz was invited twice to be part of the Critic's Table from the Basel Symphony Orchestra. Listen to the the two podcasts here!
Two nominations for an Opus Klassik 2022: A New Path and Gabiz have been nominated in the categories of best solo-album of the year and young talent of the year.

A New Path has been selected as one of the CDs that made it to the Semi-Finalists of the Petrichor International Music Competition.
The german Music Magazine just published an essay written by Gabiz about his frustration with today's handling and perception of wrong notes.

Biography
Gabiz Reichert (1994) is a Swiss classical pianist who distinguishes himself in his concerts - mostly moderated by himself - due to his original concert programs and his creative interpretative style. Next to his keen interest in philosophy and musicology and his activities as a pianist, he picked up conducting during his studies in Munich.
